Hello Community Memorial Hospital community:

We have gotten several questions regarding the upcoming flu season such as why should we vaccinate against the flu in the midst of the COVID pandemic?  Well, each and every year influenza is responsible for approximately 60,000 deaths in the United States.  During this COVID pandemic your healthcare professionals are attempting to prepare for the absolute worst. While we understand that there is some hesitation with getting flu vaccines due to the increased hygiene protocols, social distancing measures and consistent mask wearing we are trying to reduce risk wherever possible. As many of you may know coronavirus and influenza have very common symptoms and it may become very difficult to tell the difference between the two.  It is vitally important for our patients to reduce their risk of any disease complication every chance they can get. As we approach the influenza season please know that your health care professionals are attempting to protect our community in every way possible.  If you have any other questions or concerns please contact Redfield CMH clinic to schedule an appointment or to talk to a healthcare professional.

We are offering flu vaccines from 7am-7pm on Wednesday, September 30th at our ambulance garage (Door 3). After that date, you can call Redfield Clinic at 472-0510 to schedule your flu vaccination. Please receive your flu vaccine!

Sincerely:

Redfield CMH Medical Staff
